Case Study-Indoor Video Wall for Famous High School Convert Hall

1. Context
The customer, from one famous high school in southeast coastal city, asked for one LED video wall at the back of the stage in the convert hall.
The LED video display size: H4.8m x W8.64m=41.472m2, pitch 2.5mm
Purpose: It is used to display the background picture or video corresponding to the music during the concert to increase the atmosphere of the music performance.
2. Challenge
1) Long-term high-humid environment:
The high school is located less than 7 kilometers from the sea, and built on an arborous hillside, so the humidity is very high especially in spring and summer. Besides, the concert hall is on the first floor, we need to ensure that the LED video display can withstand the test of the long-term humidity environment.
2) High system reliability:
The customer especially emphasizes that when there is a music performance, blank screen failure and program interruption is not allowed.
3) Zero noise:
In order to ensure the ultra-realistic sound during the music performance, the customer stressed that the LED display and system should not produce any noise.
4) Special function for still frame:
The customer request that in order to match the effect of the music when the music is performed, sometimes it is necessary to make a certain background picture still, and ask for an easy way to achieve this.
3.How We Did It
1) GOB technology to overcome high-humid environment:
In order to meet the long-term high-humid environment, the LED video display adopts the GOB (GLUE ON THE BOARD) technology.
GOB technology is to use a new nano stuffing, through a special process to cover the nanofiller to the front of LED modules and make optical treatment of fog surface. It improves the protection level of moisture, bump and dust, and enhances the reliability greatly. At the same time, due to optical treatment of fog surface, it realizes the frosted effect of the LED display, enhances the contrast, and increases the viewing angle through the conversion of the point light source to the surface light source.
2) N+1 power redundancy backup technology to realize high system reliability:
The LED video display uses “N+1 power redundancy backup technology”, which is always used in industrial products such as traffic displays. That is, for every N (such as 4) power supplies, there is one backup power supply 1, and the redundancy control board make monitor and auto switch. When one of the N power supplies fails, the standby power supply 1 replaces the failed power supply automatically and seamlessly. Therefore, the video display can keep on working normally and there is no program interruption. This technology can perfectly ensure the continuity of the music performance and let the audience immerse in a wonderful music world.

3) Adopt fanless power supply and room control to realize zero noise:
We adopt a fanless power supply in the LED display. At the same time, the control cabinet equipped with the control system is also placed in the control room outside the stage, so the entire LED display and system do not produce any noise on the stage. Zero noise effect during the music performance is achieved by us.
4) Custom remote controller to lock screen freely
We make one custom wireless remote controller to realize lock-screen function. Only need press the lock key B once, the screen of the LED display will stand still, and press B key again to resume play in sequence. In the music performance, the stage staff can operate the small remote controller according to the rhythm of the performance easily and simply.
